Here is the Colon Carry All I have made for the Toronto Alternative Fashion Show. It is part of my Organs and Organisms interventions taking place on Friday night in the Fermenting Cellar of the Distillery District. I am heading to TO tomorow: the car is packed, the price list is printed, all glue has dried. [FAT] starts on Wednesday night, so I'll likely be hanging in the Distillery hood for the duration. Should be lots and lots of fun...!
I've also just posted an image gallery of my Creatures from the Crichton Community Centre exhibiton. The opening went really well, and the place looks great....and rumour has it that the show has been reviewed for this weeks Xpress. Pick up a copy Thursday!

That is just disgusting. I love it!

Hi, I saw your organs and organisms at FAT and they are FABULOUS. I loved them and I really hope that you post photos of them somewhere online because I didn't have my camera with me but would love to show them to my friends.
What I thought when I first saw them: "Adorable!" I wanted to pet them! Lovely! The "Tyvek girls" told me that you were inspired by scanning electron images of germs and things (e.g., the SARS bag) and it is interesting how these organisms that are often dangerous to us humans have such beautiful aesthetics close-up. And then when you render them in fibre, they take on even more of a "pet-like" character.
One final comment: the craftsmanship on them is exquisite. They were so beautiful and perfect!
Thanks again for bringing them to us in T.O.!
