It was a dark, damp day in March 1998 when I first began work on the ColourForm series. This body of work is about the pure joy of colour and using it with reckless abandon. The series began as paintings on canvas, and has evolved over the years into 3-d wall sculptures as well as large scale street paintings. It is about love, being brave, fiery, bold, expressing very the essence of colour. Shapes give Form: organic, natural lines, precision, movement, flow. Sometimes this work feels to be irresponsible, wild, out of control and at other times, it gives me tranquility, peace, quiet, sensibility, balance. We see colour everywhere. We need more colour in our lives. You can never have too much colour.
