In the winters of 2004-2007, I worked on a series of temporal, body formed snow angel installations after a recent snowfall. It developed through a series of performances, often alone, and with no audience. This act is reminiscent of childhood, but it is far too structured to have been made by a child, often making 10-20 angels per site. I am interested in the quiet silence of this gesture and its temporary, fleeting, momentary imagery. I completed another series of snow angels in various locations in the winter of 2007. If anyone is interested in doing their own snow angel installations and sending me the images of their experience, I will post them in this gallery. The best time to do snow angels is right after a big snow fall. Lets hope for lots of snow this winter!
